Mackenzie Presbyterian University is a large post-secondary education institution with campuses in several Brazilian states. The main and the largest campus of this university is located in São Paulo, in the Consolação district. For several years, the analog monitoring system had met its needs, but its expansion, including the integration with a subway station, has brought about the need for an upgrade in its system to IP technology.
Systec-telecom developed a major project for Mackenzie, integrating a large fiber optic ring (5 km) into the new fully digital camera monitoring structure, which covers 100% of the campus and has substantially changed the way it is managed, by focusing on preventive security measures, all while using the old piping network, which is a very important point.
HD IP cameras have been installed to ensure high-quality images. The Operation Control Center (OCC) has also been fully refurbished and looks very effective and high tech.
